I wanted to extend a personal thank you to every writer with whom I worked on this year’s @reylofanfictionanthology, Two Solitudes That Meet. Thank you all so much for sharing your time and your talents with us and for making this year the biggest Anthology yet! I hope each one of you will return for all of our future projects. In no particular order:
Collide by @benisolo: Anna is a new writer to our fandom, and you all should definitely keep your eye on her as she continues to grow and develop her style! She stuck with us despite leaving home for the first time to go to college and we are so very proud of her. I’m so glad I got to know you through this process!
Only If for a Night by @reylotrashcompactor and @southsidestory: Mer and Scarlett, my beloved Reylo wives without whom the Anthology would not exist. Your writing is exquisite and evocative as always. I am so grateful for you two.
The Dragon Queen’s Moon by @diadumene: ASOIAF is what brought me back to fandom and caused me to join Tumblr in the first place, so I was of course eager to jump on this piece. I had just written my own Dany x Sansa fic the month prior too! The blending of the two fandoms and ships is just perfect.
a life between times by @kuresoto: Betty was one of my first friends in this fandom and the Anthology. She’s so creative and funny and I’m always in awe of her ability to write such long fics! I’ve edited her piece for every Anthology (and a few others besides) and it’s a tradition I think of which we’re both very much fond.
Wish Upon a Star by @shelikespretties: Viv, my dearly beloved mod sister. Her piece is charming and creative as per usual. Viv is definitely one of this fandom’s most under appreciated writers and an absolutely fantastic editor.
Yichud by @shmisolo: Celia, my newest dearly beloved mod sister. I’ve been a fan of your writing for so long and working with you on this masterpiece is everything I dreamed it would be. I can’t get over how incredibly perfect this fic is.
Dathomir by @ahsokatvno: Katie, your Dathomiri/Nightsister AU was so creative and just perfect in its worldbuilding. This is exactly the kind of creativity the Anthology was created to encourage and develop!
gestalt by @spookykingdomstarlight: Spooky is one of the most talented and prolific writers I’ve ever had the pleasure with whom to read and work. Everything she writes is wonderful. She’s also the brilliant @swrarepairs mod–you should definitely join us for that exchange!
Some I let go by @ever-so-reylo: I was so excited to finally read your work for the first time! I love how you blended Greek mythology into your canonverse fic–exactly my aesthetic.
Between Sky and Sea by @moonshotsandarchimedeslevers: Nyssa, it was such a pleasure to work on this absolutely gorgeous piece with you, and to get to know you better as we discussed our travels and universities! I am so glad I had the opportunity to work on such a wonderful fic that features my beloved Padme Amidala so prominently.
Stolen Hearts by @capaldisrighteyebrow: Trish, my goodness, the worldbuilding in your piece was breathtaking and epic. I felt as though I were reading a magnificent new fantasy novel as I edited this piece. You know I’ve been a fan of your writing for a while and this piece cements you as one of the best in our fandom.
The Luminous Interval by @politicalpadme: I’m so glad you decided to join us for the Anthology! As I’m sure you know I adore your use of lore and other elements from canon to create a well-balanced piece, as usual.
If I was born as a blackthorn tree by @mollymatterrs: my dear Eleanor. You know I always love you and your writing and of course your exquisite crafting and unique ideas. This piece is no different.
temptations of grey by @punkeraa: my darling Ari. I am so incredibly proud of you–everything you write is lovely, and you can instantly tell how hard you worked on this piece. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I do everything you write!
meadow dusk (sweet dreams of you) by @valsansretour: Nina, your writing is atmospheric and haunting, just like the forests you adore so much. This piece will remind you of the moment when Rey and Kylo met on Takodana, or the Gothic lit we all know and love.
The Hunter and the Swordsman by @dreamsdescent: I absolutely love how you combined Tolkien with Star Wars (my two original fandoms) in your piece. This was a dream come true to read and edit!
Syn’s Heart by @inthegrayworld: You crafted such a unique and evocative AU to go along with the black hole setting! I loved the different visions you created and how everything paralleled and antiparalleled together so well.
